Inspired by my study of animal motifs in ancient art, the leaping animal pose was known by archeologists as "The Flying Gallop." I used the pose here featuring my own cat. I find that I prefer to hang it as if it is walking on it's paws. I found this amusing plus it reminded me of when my father taught all his children to walk on their hands. The title comes from the little crosses in the background.
