| Three horses stand by a river at night. This was a commissioned painting.
The client liked my river paintings and owned a number of horses,
so I combined the two ideas together in this work. The river theme
was inspired by an art exhibit I saw when I was 18. It was a retrospective
show of a woman who was, at that time, in her 90's. On exhibit was
a painting she had done of a whirlpool. For some reason, that image
has always stayed with me, emerging years later in my own river paintings. |
