I enjoy attending county fairs and looking at all the animals on display. However, the chickens often puzzle me as they all look alike. Yet one of them will have a blue ribbon attached to its cage saying, "First Prize!"

I found a chart at one of the fairs that showed how to judge a chicken and created this painting from it . All the stars that you see on or near the chicken are the places where a judge looks and compares one chicken with another. My "Perfect Chicken" is a proud girl on display under and egg-shaped light. She is about to do her performance- crossing the road. Do you know why?
